Acclaimed Taiwanese choreographer and dancer Huang Yi and his robot KUKA bring razor sharp precision and stunning artistry to ArtPower at UC San Diego. The award?winning Huang Yi & Kuka a poetic work that flawlessly intertwines modern dance and visual arts within the realm of robotics?features KUKA, an industrial robot made in Germany and programmed by Huang.
Not only will Huang be performing on October 14, he will be in residency for a week in San Diego?which includes an open rehearsal with San Diego K?12 students and discussions with the UC San Diego students in the Flow Control and Coordinated Robotics Lab.
