Prof. Khaleel Mohammed, PhD, will present ?Saudi Arabia and Its Influence in Religion and Politics of the Middle East.? Born in Guyana, he has a PhD in Islamic law from McGill and was the first Muslim to receive a post-doctoral fellowship to Brandeis. He will discuss Saudi influence on global Islam, the Saudi divided system of governance, ties between the US and Saudi Arabia, and the tensions and issues in the Middle East.
