San Diego City Works Press releases its latest anthology, "Sunshine/Noir II: Writing from San Diego and Tijuana." The book depicts a darker side of San Diego, showcased through fiction, poetry, essays and photography by local writers and artists. The project is dedicated to the late local poet Steve Kowit, whose work is published in the anthology. Other authors featured include Arthur Salm, Kinsee Morlan, Jimmy Santiago Baca, Anna Daniels, Brent Beltran and more.
At the event, which features music and tacos, you'll also hear some of the book?s contributors read selections of their work.
