Nasir Al-Samaraie PhD will talk about "Refugees: Humanitarian impact of Middle East conflicts.?A former Iraqi Diplomat and Academic, he recently came back from a four month consulting assignment for Doctors without Borders in the Middle East. He will review the status of Syrian and Iraqi refugees. Years of revolt against repression in Syria and instability in Iraq have impacted the population in the two countries in ways that endanger the entire Mideast region. Massive waves of refugees are challenging regional, European and international displacement norms and practices.
