A special performance in honor of D?a de los Muertos
Chronos Theatre Group and CARPA San Diego are teaming up to present a new touring production of Johnny Tenorio by Carlos Morton. In the irreverent, interactive tradition of the carpas (tent theaters) of Mexico, we are taking our show on the road, bringing this modern Chicano version of the classic Don Juan story to diverse audiences for D?a de los Muertos through November.
Originally directed by noted Chicano actor and director Goyo Flores, who passed away this year, this special remount is directed by Samuel Valdez, and features the same versatile and creative cast and design crew as last year. Because of the changing locations, each show will be completely different, including indoor theaters and outdoor festivals..
