The immigration crisis in Europe continues to intensify. Some European countries have welcomed the refugees while others have closed their borders. At the same time, the conflicts driving the massive exodus go on unabated. Amidst the huge humanitarian challenges on the ground, non-governmental organizations work alongside IGOs and governments to ease the refugees? plight and assist local governments. This panel will explore the immigration crisis from a European, a Middle Eastern and an NGO perspective. Speakers include Ver?nica Hoyo, Ph.D., Michael Provence, Ph.D., Walter Lam, President & CEO, Alliance for African Assistance and Mary M. McKenzie, Ph.D. as moderator.
