Tom Wright, from the North County Chapter of the San Diego World Affairs Council, will present a review of ?All The Shah?s Men: An American Coup And The Roots of Middle East Terror? by Stephen Kinzer. More than 60 years have passed since the CIA deposed the only democratically elected government Iran ever had. Kinzer?s book describes 100 years of political control in Iran leading to the overthrow of Prime Minister Mossadegh, followed by a theocratic dictatorship that was the prelude to the disintegrating situation we see in the Middle East today.
