Colette Hebert, one of the most respected and sought after Tango teachers and performers in North America was the winner (teaming up with former partner R. Council) of the 2003 IDO US Tango Championship. At the 2005 Buenos Aires World Competition, also dancing with R. Council, she was finalist in the Tango Salon category and semi-finalist in the Tango Stage Performance category. Today, Colette's home base is in San Diego, California where she is teaching and coaching a new generation of tango dancers and performers. Through her full-fledged school program encompassing Argentine Tango, Tango-inspired" (or so-called "Nuevo") dance, plus her Tango Performance Group, Colette is contributing to building up a better understanding and dancing of the eternal Argentine in San Diego".
