The UC San Diego Department of Visual Arts hosts a film series based on Belgian feminist and avant-garde filmmaker, Chantal Akerman.
Before her suicide this past October, Akerman was also working as an artist and professor of film at City College of New York.
The event is organized by Professor Babette Mangolte, who worked as Akerman's cinematographer.
The movies will screen Mondays at 6:15 PM (or Tuesdays in case of university holidays) in the Visual Arts Presentation Lab @ Structural and Materials Engineering Building, Room 149.
