Over the past decade, globalFEST has become one of the most dynamic global music platforms in North America. What started as an annual showcase in New York has grown into an international brand, building audiences for world music with stages at SXSW, Bonnaroo and beyond. Founded in 2003, globalFEST spotlights artists who represent diverse global styles, artists who are bringing down boundaries between countries and creating cultural opportunities for collaboration. More than 120 emerging and established artists (such as Mariza and Lila Downs) have performed at globalFEST. Kicking off with a January 2016 festival in New York, globalFEST's first tour across North America brings this multi-cultural phenomenon to San Diego for the first time!
Brushy One-String recently dropped by the studios of National Public Radio to give one of their famous Tiny Desk Concerts.
