Graphic designer Yoon (Sunny Suwanmethanon) zooms through his retouching projects, compulsively searching for Wi-Fi everywhere he goes and tracking his success by the number of consecutive days he can stay awake while working. But when worrisome bumps start appearing on his neck, he realizes he needs more than Photoshop to remove the rash? he needs a dermatologist.
A hilariously awkward love story ensues, and director Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit (Mary is Happy, Mary is Happy, SDAFF ?14) spins it with his signature contemporary whimsy. HEART ATTACK may follow a pathological workaholic, but it finds in him an earnest romanticism rare in films about twentysomethings, and certainly rare in a film that is also about the loneliness of freelance work which, as Yoon must discover for himself, should never be inversely proportional to love. ?Brian Hu
