International Jazz Day #JAZZDAY - With the signs of Spring, I've also been thinking a lot about the journey of my last album "April in Paris" (especially as I approach the completion of my next one). The recording happened on UNESCO's 1st annual International Jazz Day in Paris (also the Global Host City that year), my San Diego CD release happened on the 3rd annual celebration, and this Saturday April 30 marks the 5th annual International Jazz Day.
We'll be celebrating at the Westgate Hotel in San Diego, while the Global Host City holding the grand extravaganza this year will be Washington DC. Everywhere around the world there will be jazz in the air this Saturday. Come celebrate with us! I'm bringing out some of the songs from the April in Paris project as well as other Spring inspiring music (& of course a couple nostalgic tributes to The Artist Formerly Known As...) featuring Mikan Zlatkovich piano & Antar Martin bass.
