The North County Chapter presents Mr. John Shu (J.D. Pepperdine Law & G.C. Peking Univ.), who clerked for Judge Paul H. Roney of the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and Chief Judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review. He will talk about The History and Functioning of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which hears the U. S. Government?s applications for approval of electronic surveillance, physical search, and certain other forms of investigative actions for foreign intelligence purposes. The media sometimes refer to the court as the ?FISA Court.?
