Jewish Voice for Peace-San Diego presents this documentary film on the efforts of Argentine-Israeli conductor Daniel Barenboim and Palestinian-American scholar and author Edward Said to form a first-class orchestra composed of young Jews and Arabs from countries throughout the Middle East.
Prejudice and other challenges must be overcome to enable young musicians of many different beliefs and backgrounds to find common ground and create a glimpse of the possibilities for a peaceful future Middle East. Light snacks and discussion.
