Culinary Historians of San Diego presents Kitty Morse in the Neil Morgan Auditorium with the story of Moroccan cuisine and culture. Kitty Morse?s career as cookbook author, cooking teacher, television host, food and travel writer, and tour organizer spans close to 30 years. She has authored eleven cookbooks, five of them on the cuisine of her native Morocco. Mint Tea and Minarets: a Banquet of Moroccan Memories is a memoir with recipes and focuses on Dar Zitoun, her family?s Moorish riad near her hometown of Casablanca. The book was selected as "Best Book Arab Cuisine USA" by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards and its French translation is soon to appear in eBook format.
