Lecture: Stories of Conflict at Home and Abroad

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
How far must writers go to tell the story of war, to expose the racial divide in our country, or to explore the reality of life along our border? How do the risks they face shape the writers and the stories they bring us?

We'll hear about this and more from award-winning war correspondent and host of "All Things Considered" Kelly McEvers; poet, playwright and journalist Al Letson of "Reveal"; Iraq veteran and memoirist Brooke King; and KPBS' "Fronteras" reporter Jeanne Guerrero. Join them and moderator Justin Hudnall of "So Say We All" and the nationally recognized series "Incoming" for an afternoon of conversation and insights followed by refreshments and a chance to speak personally with all of our speakers. This is part of the annual Writers Symposium by the Sea.
