This day-long, community-friendly event attracts thousands each year, giving families an opportunity to come together and celebrate San Diego?s Mexican heritage through mariachi music, colorful traditional ballet, folkloric dancing and a grand celebration of the arts, culture and culinary delights.
The National City Chamber of Commerce and The Unified Port of San Diego are proud to present the 6th Annual International Mariachi Festival and Competition. Come watch mariachi groups from all over the United States and Mexico perform and compete. FREE ADMISSION!
The Mariachi program supports today?s youth in their artistic, individual and educational development. Prior to the festival, mariachi practitioners may take part in a two-day music conference at the University of San Diego, which includes instruction and training for 300 students by renowned mariachi educators and practitioners.
