South Indian classical vocalist Devesh Vashishtha has performed concerts in the U.S., Canada and India. He will present an interactive lecture-demonstration on the history of South Indian classical (Carnatic) music and will provide an overview of its intricate melodic and rhythmic patterns and also its multiple improvisational forms. Devesh will accompanied on the mridangam by Naveen Basavanhally and on the violin by Tejras Srinivasan.
