As part of Muir College's 50th Anniversary Celebrations we invite you to join us for the documentary film screening of Dolores, a powerful film that opens a window into the life and humbling legacy of renown labor activist and organizer Dolores Huerta.
Among the most important activists in U.S. history, Dolores Huerta's enormous contributions to racial and labor justice alongside more celebrated activists such as Cesar Chavez and Phillip Vera Cruz have gone largely unrecognized. Huerta's fight for racial, gender and environmental justice continues until today as she approaches her 90s. Directed by Peter Bratt, the film delves into the rich history of the farm workers movement while painting an honest and intimate portrait of the sacrifice such monumental commitment to change demanded of Huerta and her loved ones.
