The Lemon Grove Historical Society's Remembrance Project continues with the 50th anniversary of the murder of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On April 4, 1968, Dr. King stood on the upper balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee, and was shot to death by James Earl Ray.

Panelists Dr. Dayo Gore, Professor of Ethnic Studies at UCSD, and Dr. John Warren, editor/publisher of Voice & Viewpoint, will recall that watershed moment in the Civil Rights Movement and its long-range impact on the state of civil rights in America today.
