Art: Kokedama Tree Workshop

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
Kokedama is a ball of soil, covered with moss, upon which an ornamental plant grows. This Japanese custom is a combination of both nearai bonsai and kusamono planting styles. Today, Kokedama is very popular in Japanese gardens.

In this class, you will make two Kokedama: Mini Succulent Kokedama and Money Tree Kokedama. We will provide workshop participants with all of the supplies needed, including plants, moss, and soils. Feel free to bring your apron and gloves! This class is led by Kanako Yamada, owner of Kodama Forest, who was trained in Kyoto, Japan, in unique and adaptable plant gifting techniques.
