A community event with insight through photography into the reality of Syrian refugees who are building their lives anew in San Diego. We will also explore ideas for helping them feel at home. This program is presented in conjunction with an exhibit of portraits of Syrian children who live in refugee camps, which were created by U.S. high-schoolers. Traditional Syrian refreshments provided by recent immigrants.
