In celebration of National Poetry Month in April, join award-winning poets and musicians Shadab Zeest Hasmi, Brandon Cesmat, and Omar Waqar for a discussion and performance of the ghazal, a poetic expression originating in Arabia that celebrates the pain and beauty of love in all its forms. This art form has been featured prominently in the languages, poetry and music of South Asia. Copies of Ms. Hashmi?s latest book Ghazal Cosmopolitan will be available for purchase and signing.
