Come celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage month with Dr. Sumun Pendakur! In her high-energy talk, she'll explore what the possibilities for liberation look like through drawing on the lessons of the past and by highlighting the student activism of today. Dr. Pendakur will dive into her own personal journey as an Asian American student activist and educator. She will explore how Asian Americans are used in the American racial project, from the model minority myth to horizontal oppression to the embeddedness of anti-Blackness. Join us!
