Ode to Frida features Ms. Rubin?s watercolor portraits of Frida Khalo which demonstrate the stifling condition of her difficult marriage. In another portrait Ms. Rubin depicts Frida as a figure of Dia de los Muretes, a not-to-be-forgotten skeleton in a colorful folkloric dress, with one of her favorite monkeys and an over-sized paintbrush.
