By celebrating Jewish American Heritage Month, we honor the values of inclusion, acceptance and religious liberty cherished by this country. With Ivy Barsky, CEO; and Gwen Goodman, Director of the National Museum of American Jewish History, the San Diego Jewish Genealogical Society will honor this month with members? shared stories of their ancestors' arrival in this country, their trials and tribulations as well as their achievements and successes. The presentation will conclude with the film Maxwell Street, A Living Memory which captures the essence of this early Chicago Jewish market street through the eyes of the children and grandchildren of the Eastern European Jewish immigrants who built it.
