The Museum of Making Music presents a very special Play It Forward benefit concert event featuring two Grammy-winning artists: Legendary trumpet player Herb Alpert and vocalist Lani Hall.
A renowned trumpet player, Alpert?s extraordinary musicianship has earned him five #1 hits, nine Grammy Awards (the latest from his 2014 album Steppin? Out), 15 gold albums, 14 platinum albums, and has sold over 72 million records.
In 1986, Lani Hall won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Performance for her album, Es F?cil Amar. Hall picked up her second Grammy Award as producer of Herb Alpert?s album Steppin? Out. Since 2006, Hall and Alpert have been touring with their band to sold out performances around the world.
Proceeds from this concert will support the museum?s adult band & orchestra program, Title One school field trip program, and foster teen music programs. These programs impact thousands of students and adults from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds. Additionally, funds raised will also help maintain and upgrade the interactive instruments that are available for all visitors to play.
