Join the County of San Diego Filipino-American Employees' Association (CSDFEA) for a discussion of the book: So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo.

In So You Want to Talk About Race, Ijeoma Oluo offers a contemporary, accessible take on the racial landscape in America, addressing head-on such issues as privilege, police brutality, intersectionality, micro-aggressions, the Black Lives Matter movement, institutional racism and the ?model minority? myth. Perfectly positioned to bridge the gap between people of color and white Americans struggling with race complexities, Oluo answers the questions readers don?t dare ask, and explains the concepts that continue to elude everyday Americans.

CSDFEA's Embracing the World program can take the form of a book discussion, film screening and/or dialogue. Our goal is to provide a forum to learn, discuss and appreciate culture from around the globe. Embracing the World events are open and free to the public.
