Originally this festival was a banjo fiddle competition and more recently known as the Julian Bluegrass Festival. The contemporary Julian Music Festival is an ?end of summer celebration? of more than 40 years of music in Julian.
This year?s festival will feature a variety of musical genres including Americana, contemporary jazz, folk and more.
