San Diego Italian Film Festival continues with Francesca Archibugi's Matter of the Heart. Two men, with virtually nothing in common, strike up the closest of friendships, but must deal with mortality. Screenwriter Alberto goes to the hospital with chest pains; meanwhile, garage owner Angelo suffers a heart attack and winds up in the same room as Alberto. Angelo sees Alberto as someone who can look after his wife Rosanna and the kids when he dies. Alberto, seldom close to anyone, learns the meaning of friendship. Italian with English subtitles.
