Wilma Owens discusses whether Black History Month is needed or wanted in our current society. Dean Wilma Owens is a native of Selma, Alabama. She received her Bachelor of Science in English and Sociology from Alabama State University, and her Master's in Management from Webster University in St. Louis. Dean Owens has lived and worked in many parts of the world: New York, Florida, Virginia, Washington D.C., Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines. Currently, she serves as the Dean of Career, Technical and Extended Education for the Palomar Community College District.
