Photographer Jonas Yip and his father, poet Wai-lim Yip, chose Paris as focal point of a dialogue between text and image, classical and modern, East and West, and father and son. Jonas Yip embraces the spontaneous and accidental in his photographs. Inspired by these photographs, Wai-lim Yip influential poet, critic, and Taiwanese avant-garde member composed minimalist poems linking the aesthetics of Classical Chinese poetry with mid-20th-century Anglo-American Imagism.
