Workshop by author Mara Price (Grandma's Chocolate) geared to kids six to ten years old. Kids see how Mayans turned the bitter cacao seed into a delicious chocolate treat and grind cacao seeds on a metate. Traditional Mexican hot chocolate for tasting. Participants learn two methods Mayans used for written communication, discover how to write their names using Mayan glyphs.
