Special Recognition for entrepreneur C.C. Yin, 'Mr. Asian McDonald?s,' and 'Diversity Pioneer' award to Rear Admiral Ron MacLaren -- Out of 66 nominations, one in each category, ranging from education to community service, will be honored. The evening gala will also feature a complete lineup of exciting entertainment, including the Moonlight Chinese Dance Group, youngsters from the Xing Jian dance studio, singers Rebecca Tang, Lily Ma and Dan Yu performing excerpts from Romance of the Western Chamber, (the American adaptation of the ancient Chinese play Xi Xiang,), and an extra special performance by dancers from the Royal Thai Ballet Company. In addition to the roster of honorees, Special Recognition will be accorded entrepreneur C.C. Yin, known as the Asian Mr. McDonald?s.The Asian Heritage Society will also present the first Diversity Pioneer Award to Rear Admiral Ron MacLaren, a Korean American who has worked to open up the top ranks to more Asian Americans.
