Cooking Class: Hands On Tamales

In this hands-on class, students will learn everything it takes to make tamales; from the preparation of the masa and fillings, to the techniques of rolling and steaming them. Wonderful for entertaining or as a snack, these tasty filled treats are great any time and can also be made ahead and frozen. Students will be able to taste, make, and take home one of each flavor tamale. Participants must be 18 and older. Also, this class is partially hands on and limited to 40 people.

Recipes: Traditional Spicy Shredded Pork; Salsa Verde Chicken; Deviled Crab; Oaxaca Cheese and Sweet Potato; Grilled Pineapple and Macadamia Nut.
