Year-end Buddhist ritual allows for new start for coming year; bell is rung 108 times to symbolize purging of previous year's misdeeds. Program includes brief history of the bell and the ceremony, followed by sutra chanting, incense offering. Participants take turns swinging rope guiding big wooden log against huge bonsho bell during ceremony. Rain does not cancel. 619-239-0896.
