The Gamelan was developed in the ancient courts of Java and Bali and today still plays a role in virtually every important ritual.Ade Suparman is a Kacapi Master visiting San Diego from West Java, Indonesia. We are honored to have him perform at David Alan. Ade will begin at 7:00 PM with a performance of traditional Sundanese Chamber music. The second half of the evening will be with Kembang Sunda, a traditional Indonesian style Gamelan Orchestra based here in San Diego.
