San Diego Jewish Film Festival and San Diego Latino Film Festival bring the best of Jewish Latino films to San Diego County from May to July 2012. The Jewish Latino Film Series is a three-month celebration of films by Jewish Latino filmmakers and about the Jewish Latino experience.
The series intends to foster kinship and celebrate diversity while exploring the many similarities of the respective cultures.
Screenings are at 7:00 PM, May 30, June 6, June 27, and July 11
"Mi Primera Boda"
Jewish-born but now secular Adrian (Daniel Hendler) and Catholic-born but now quasi-secular Leonora (Natalia Oreiro) have finally reached their wedding day. Instead of embracing matrimony, Adrian spends the hours leading up to the ceremony trying to avoid disaster. Hilarity ensures in director Ariel Winograd's winning romantic comedy about the politics of the proverbial "Big Day."
Special Opening Night Reception begins at 6:00 PM. Includes light appetizers and one drink! Film begins at 7:00 PM.
