Canyon Crest Academy and the Center for World Music are proud to present a very special performance of Javanese gamelan music and dance. Students from the Canyon Crest Academy gamelan program, directed by the Javanese master teacher Pak Djoko Walujo , will be accompanied by California Institute of the Arts singers and dancers in this end-of-year performance that will include an enchanting masked Topeng Panji dance.
Along with the distinguished Javanese master teacher Pak Djoko Walujo and singers and dancers from the California Institute of the Arts, students of the Center for World Music Javanese gamelan program at Canyon Crest Academy will present a very special performance of classical music and dance from the royal courts of Central Java, in Indonesia.
