A modern, Greek-like tragedy, Lydia is set in the 1970s where the working class Flores family welcomes Lydia, an undocumented woman, into their El Paso home to care for their daughter, Ceci, who was tragically disabled in a car accident on the eve of her quincea?era ? her fifteenth birthday. Lydia's immediate and seemingly miraculous bond with the girl sets the entire family on a mysterious and shocking journey of discovery leading to the unraveling of a web of dark family secrets. The production features returning ion artists, Nadia Guevara (Passion) and Richard Johnson (Jesus Hates Me) and in their ion debuts, John Delgado, Alex Guzman, Bernardo Maz?n, ion Actor Academy alum Jennifer Paredes, and Sandra Ruiz. The production team includes Raygoza (Director, Scenic and Sound Design), ion company member, Mary Summerday (Costume Design), Melissa Hamilton (Props) and Kevin Kornburger (Lighting Designer and Stage Manager). Ion Producing Artistic Director, Glenn Paris, is Producer.

Lydia begins previews Saturday, June 4, opens Saturday, June 11 and runs through July 2 playing Wednesdays at 7pm, Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm with a 4pm Saturday matinee. Tickets range from $10 for previews to $32 for General Admission, $26 for Seniors, $20 for AEA/AASD & Military and $14 for Students and can be purchased at www.iontheatre.com or by calling (619) 600-5020. Opening night is $40 and includes a catered after-party with the cast and crew.
