This event takes place at various locations within the San Diego County Fair. See below for important information.
This second annual, award-winning event is a celebration of Asian and Pacific Islander cultures, featuring music, dance and martial arts performances, as well as fashion and community-based organizations representing China, Philippines, Vietnam, Korea, India, Hawai'i and Japan. It takes place in two locations: the Del Mar Arena and the Plaza Stage.
Earlier in the day in the Del Mar Arena will be the Best Dance Crew contest, then the Asian Festival continues with cultural performances from various countries, and culminate at the Plaza Stage with contemporary acts, including Katriz Trinidad, who advanced to the "knock out" round on NBC's "The Voice."
Ikebana flower arranging, a traditional Japanese art, will also be a part of the Festival. You can see these displays in the Paul Ecke Jr. Flower Show.
The Festival is included with Fair admission.
