Taiwan Cinema Spotlight: LGBT Cinema

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
The focus of this third installment is LGBT films and the role these movies played in the recent development of Taiwanese cinema. Through films by Tsai Ming-liang, Ang Lee, and Lee Cheng-sheng, stories of same-sex romances and encounters brought worldwide attention to Taiwanese filmmakers.

This year's Taiwan Cinema Spotlight will present four unique films that have become central to the development of a national Taiwanese cinema.

Blue Gate Crossing at 4:00 PM
A tender teen love triangle about two best friends, tomboyish Kerou and boycrazy Yuezhen, and a rebellious heartthrob named Shihao.
