Talk: United Farmworkers and El Teatro Campesino

Professor Evelyn Cruz from the Theatre Department will offer background on the satirical Valdezian theatre used to raise consciousness and organize farmworkers during the Civil Rights Movement. A live 20 minute "Acto" from this street theatre genre will also be performed. This event is in conjunction with "The Farmworkers' Movement through the Lens of Carlos LeGerrette" exhibit at USD.
