Opening Night, German Currents: Festival of German Film

The German American San Diego Foundation invites you to attend the 6th Annual Festival of German Film 2016 in San Diego.

On Saturday evening, October 22nd, the Festival will kick off at 6:00 PM with a Pre-Film VIP Champagne Reception on the rooftop terrace of the San Diego Natural History Museum (theNat) in Balboa Park. At 7:30pm, the opening film "ICH UND KAMINSKI (Me and Kaminski)" will be screened at theNAT's state-of-the-art digital movie theater. The screening will be followed by a Q&A discussion with the director Wolfgang Becker and a Gala Reception at theNAT's atrium with German Food and drinks.

On Sunday, October 23rd, the Festival will continue with four German-language films at the Museum of Photographic Arts (MOPA).

All films are presented in German with English subtitles.

Opening Night Film:
Ich Und Kaminski (Me and Kaminski)
Tragically comedic road movie based on Daniel Kehlmann's novel. A failing journalist (Daniel Br?hl) hopes to cash in on the imminent death of famed "Blind Painter" Manuel Kaminski.
