Founded in 2000, the festival has grown to become the largest exhibition of Asian cinema in the western United States and has showcased everything from future classics like Bong Joon-ho?s Memories of Murder (U.S. premiere) to luminary independent work such as Patrick Wang?s In the Family (North American premiere). This year the 17th edition of SDAFF will showcase over 140 films from 15 countries at 6 venues in San Diego from November 3 to November 12.
