Opera: The Elixir of Love

SDSU Opera presents a two-act comic opera by Gaetano Donizetti set in a Grease-inspired 1950s Brooklyn high school. This colorful, hilarious, and poignant updating tries to make sense of young love between two teenagers hiding their pains and traumas behind different masks, confused by different socio-cultural influences and awash in the fashionable "coolness" of that era. Sung in Italian.
