Mariachi Sol de Mexico has played to sold out halls from New York's Lincoln Center to Vina del Mar in Chile, to four U.S. Presidents, in the soundtracks of the silver screen in Glory Road and Seabiscuit, and now at San Diego's own historic Balboa Theatre! Jose Hernandez, director, comes from a family tree rooted in five generations of Mariachi musicians that hail from La Sierra del Tigre in Jalisco, and his group's dedication to the romance, humor, and culture of mariachi music is evident in their joy and talent on the stage. Not only was Mariachi Sol de Mexico the first Mariachi group to play in Beijing and Pyongyang, they sold out their first shows! With Mariachi Sol, anything is possible.
