Make Your Own Dumplings on Chinese New Year!

Uncategorized Download To My Calendar
The Year of the Rooster is almost here and dumplings (or jiaozi in Chinese) is a must-eat food for the Lunar New Year! Chinese New Year is a time to feast and gather with friends and family to eat auspicious foods that will bring good luck for the year to come! Dumplings symbolize longevity and wealth because they look similar to ingots, an ancient form of Chinese currency. Not to mention they are tasty and fun to make!

We will be hosting a dumpling-making party at the Chuang Archive & Learning Center from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the day of Chinese New Year. We will have skilled dumpling makers who will demo and teach how to make dumplings. Celebrate Chinese New Year with the staff for a fun and casual gathering for families and friends!

All equipment and ingredients will be provided. Just come with a smile!

Admission/Cost: Adults $10, $5 for SDCHM members and children 12 and under.
