Celebrate the opening of the exhibition "Modern Japan: Prints from the Taisho Era (1912?1966) and Beyond" with a concert by Japanese harpsichordist Takae Ohnishi. This special concert explores the sound of Japan heard through Western instruments. The program includes new arrangements of traditional Japanese songs that were popular during the Taisho era and beyond, works by contemporary Japanese composers such as Toru Takemitsu and European music that reflects Japanese influence.
