On Sundays the hilltop streets of Tijuana are filled by swap meets so massive?blocks and blocks of vendors selling mountains of the most random secondhand loot?they make Kobey?s look like a 7-Eleven. Even if you make your way out of the bargain bin maze without dropping a single peso, you?ll walk away having lived an essential Mexican experience: the mercado.
The tour stops at Tijuana's longest-running flea market, as well as at Colonia Federal's monthly farmers market and the Mercado de Artesan?as. We will also visit Mercado Miguel Hidalgo, the city's oldest open-air market, located in Zona Rio.
Tickets include round trip border transport as well as complimentary pan dulce and coffee upon arrival.
The group meets in San Ysidro at 10:00 AM, with an estimated return to the border at 4:00 PM.
